This policy describes cookies and similar storage on homepulse.be. Essential storage stays on. Google Analytics runs only after your consent.

Scope

This policy applies to homepulse.be in all languages. A consent banner lets you accept Analytics, refuse it, or change that choice later.

Principle

The site works without advertising tracking cookies. Theme and your cookie choice live in localStorage and are strictly necessary. Google Analytics 4 is used to measure visits; analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_…) are set only after you agree, through Google Consent Mode v2 (analytics_storage).

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting, or social sharing buttons that drop third-party cookies. “Accept all” is the primary action and allows Analytics to run.

What we use

Two categories:

Essential — theme preference (localStorage “theme”) and cookie choice (localStorage “homepulse_consent”). Never sent to our servers. No consent required.
Analytics, with consent — Google Analytics 4. Measures page views, source, device and coarse geography. Google does not keep the IP address as a distinct identifier. No advertising personalisation (ad_storage stays denied).

Google Analytics

Processor: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, with possible support from Google LLC in the United States.

The measurement ID is configured via the PUBLIC_GA_MEASUREMENT_ID environment variable. While that ID is set, the gtag script may load; statistical cookies follow only after consent. You can refuse Analytics (“Essential only”) or turn it off later. Refusal does not block use of the site.

Cookies: _ga, _ga_<container> (up to two years, according to Google settings)
Purpose: Visit statistics and site improvement
Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR)
Withdraw: Via “Change cookie preferences” or the banner

What we do not use

No advertising or retargeting cookies, no social sharing buttons that drop third-party cookies, no marketing pixels besides Google Analytics.

Third-party resources

Fonts are self-hosted via Fontsource. No request is made to a font CDN.

The hosting infrastructure may use strictly necessary technical cookies for network security. Those cookies carry no profiling.

After consent, Google scripts and measurement endpoints (googletagmanager.com / google-analytics.com) are called.

Managing your preferences

You can change your choice at any time via the button on this page or by clearing local storage in your browser. Clearing resets the theme and shows the banner again. You can also block Google cookies in the browser; the site remains usable.
